My Easy and Cheap Closet Project

How many of you struggle with closet organization? Here's a quick, inexpensive organization project I just did.

Confession: I am obsessed with putting my stuff into containers. I own a lot of modular containers for my pantry, too. I can't stand all those bags and odd sized packages taking up room in my pantry. Plus, with as much goodies as we pick up with coupons, I want to maximize my pantry space.

Home Depot has these Sterilite shoe boxes with lids for .99 cents each, regular price. I bought 25 of them for my shoes.

They were so handy, I went back and bought more for garage storage.

I was using a hanging round shoe organizer but it was taking up too much space. I can use these shoe boxes to stack up the ceiling in my closet, plus I can see what's in them.

It took me maybe half an hour to put my shoes into these containers. Of course, if you have a lot of shoes, you might need some more containers and more time! But this was so simple, I don't know why I didn't do it before.

Plus, now I have room up there for my Rumble Roller. It doesn't roll off the shelf anymore.
